About

Anthony D. Galluccio is a Cambridge-based attorney, former Mayor and State Senator, and lifelong community leader whose career reflects resilience, public service, and an unwavering commitment to helping others succeed. Born and raised in Cambridge, Anthony grew up in a household deeply connected to public life. His father, a Harvard Law graduate and decorated World War II veteran, served as a campaign secretary for John F. Kennedy and later held elected office. Losing his father at age eleven profoundly shaped Anthony’s outlook on responsibility, discipline, and perseverance. That early adversity became the foundation for a life centered on service, integrity, and relentless self-improvement. Anthony graduated from Cambridge Rindge & Latin School in 1985, where he was a three-sport varsity captain and standout baseball player. He went on to earn a degree in Political Science with a minor in Business from Providence College in 1989, followed by a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, graduating cum laude. Anthony served on the Cambridge City Council from 1994 to 2007, including terms as Vice Mayor and Mayor (2000–2001). He later represented Cambridge and surrounding communities as a Massachusetts State Senator from 2007 to 2010, where he chaired the Senate Higher Education Committee. His time in public office was marked by advocacy for education, community development, and access to opportunity. In 2010, Anthony co-founded Galluccio & Watson LLP, where he has practiced municipal, land-use, and permitting law for over 15 years. He represents major institutional and real estate clients and is widely regarded as one of Cambridge’s leading land-use permitting attorneys. His work focuses on helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments while delivering clear, results-driven solutions.
