About

Anthony D. Galluccio is a Cambridge attorney, former Mayor, and former Massachusetts State Senator whose career spans public service, municipal leadership, and one of the most respected land-use and permitting law practices in Greater Boston. A lifelong resident of Cambridge, Anthony built his career on discipline, resilience, and a deep commitment to community — values forged early in life after the loss of his father at age eleven. A graduate of Cambridge Rindge & Latin School, Providence College, and Suffolk University Law School (cum laude), Anthony went on to serve the City of Cambridge for more than a decade as City Councillor, Vice Mayor, Mayor (2000–2001), and later as State Senator representing Cambridge and surrounding communities. During his time in the Senate, he chaired the Massachusetts Senate Higher Education Committee and became known for his accessibility, work ethic, and results-driven approach. In 2010, Anthony co-founded Galluccio & Watson LLP, where he has spent the last fifteen years focusing on municipal law, permitting, and land-use matters. He represents institutional clients, developers, and landowners navigating complex regulatory environments. His reputation is built on preparation, credibility, and getting projects approved — because in his words, “winning is everything.” Beyond law and politics, Anthony’s legacy may be most visible on athletic fields across Cambridge. For over two decades, he has coached youth baseball and football, founding Cambridge’s first unlimited-weight Pop Warner team, coaching more than 450 baseball games as a head coach, and organizing free clinics serving hundreds of children annually. His nonprofit work through Galluccio Associates, Hope for the Holidays, and Ashley’s Angels has directed hundreds of thousands of dollars toward youth sports, scholarships, and pediatric cancer treatment both locally and in the Dominican Republic. Anthony measures success not in titles, but in impact — clients approved, families supported, and young athletes given opportunities to grow.
